The immersive camera takes some of the worst quality images of any video camera. web cams sold at WalMart look better. With the Red and many HD systems on the market, where we can see detail and quality, there is no reason for the immersive camera, it takes too long to buffer and is a blurred mess when you view it.

Thanks for your comment. I guess the plethora of satisfied clients of Immersive Media would beg to differ with your evaluation. Does the Red camera shoot a 360 video image? Ummm, no it doesn’t. Try to take 11 independent video streams, get them to all simultaneously load onto a hard drive and package it all into a system that is portable. At that point you’ll realize that you can’t just make generalizations about the viability of this system. Talk apples to apples not apples to oranges, you’ll make a lot more sense….
