Once again we are teaming up with Bump Films to shoot MasterCraft’s yearly DVD “Rewind”. This season we’re using a PS Technik 35mm adapter on our Panasonic HPX-500 to utilize Zeiss Super Speed prime lenses for our studio shoot.

We took the new MasterCraft 300 to a U.T. football game, one of two universities that you can actually drive your boat to the stadium, (University of Washington is the other). Shooting a standup at the in the tailgate area. The fans are rabid at U.T.!

We were lucky enough to tag along with the Nutt family for the game. They have three Skyboxes on the 50 yard line. This is the way to watch a football game!

This was our final shoot for Vail Corp. for the season. They also own Heavenly at Tahoe as part of their resort portfolio. After various reschedules due to bad weather, (read: killer powder…), we got a window to go down and finish up.

Our second shoot for Immersive Media, we used their proprietary 360 degree video camera to capture ski runs and amenities at Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Breckenridge.

This was our first shoot working with Immersive Media, a Portland based company that has developed a 360 degree camera. Its basically 11 cameras mounted in a cylindrical orb. All 11 streams are fed into a backpack mounted, (or tripod mounted, car, etc), hard drive unit. Editors then “stitch” the streams together into a seamless virtual reality 360 degree shot. Pretty amazing stuff.

This is our fourth season shooting for MTEK Studios on Malibu Boats promotional DVD. Recent years were shot with Hi-Speed Arri SR cameras but this year our extensive work with Panasonic’s P2 format convinced MTEK shoot on our Panasonic HPX-500 camera and HVX-200 for “B” camera and water housing shots.

The AMA tour stop at Washougal, WA did not disappoint this year. Chet Burks Productions covered the event for the Speed Channel. We had a total of 15 camera positions covering the race.

This was our fourth shoot with Greg Wilson at Ryannacy Films. The goal was to produce a series of long format vignettes for Insight Communications.

Shooting in the Kentucky countryside

We had an opportunity to spend the day shooting at Buffalo Trace Bourbon Distillery

Denver and Shack with one of the large grain tumblers used in the distilling process

Each rotating tumbler is superheated to process the grain

Ghosts of times gone by are said to roam these storage warehouses built in the late 1800’s

Bourbon is aged for years in these charred barrels until its ready to be sold
